JUDGE BALTAZAR GARZON, THE AUTHOR OF THE FASCIST CLOSURE OF NEWSPAPER EGIN, BOYCOTTS THE PEACE PROCESS. Spanish right wing (represented by ABC) threatens to start a war in the Basque Country although (and because) the majority of Spanish people desire peace. EH/HB vouched for prisonersīvoice at Gasteizīs Parliament.

Spanish Judge Baltazar Garzon has recently shown again his position as a fascist Spanish judge.

Spanish judge Baltazar Garzon acts at Spanish National Criminal Supreme Court. This court is a continuity of the sinister High Court´s Special Divisioin called the Public Order Court in Franco´s era. Spanish National Criminal Supreme Court is in this way a prominent example of the Spanish nazi-fascist metamorphosis.

Judge Baltazar Garzon is a living example of how grotesque and obscene and double-natured the Spanish pseudodemocracy is. Judge Baltazar Garzon justly prosecutes Augusto Pinochet, who is guilty of inflicting torture and of genocide. But that very same judge has been protecting the "murder squad´s" (GAL) main torturer: Felipe Gonzalez.

Judge Baltazar Garzon is right in prorsecuting Pinochet. But he is also the Spanish fascist who gives shelter to police and Civil Guard who inflict torture on basque women and men. And he doesn´t do anything against the torturers when their victims seek for justice before the Courts. Two members of Basque Red Net have experienced such a cruel triple experience in which they were tortured then they reported against it before judge Garzon and in the end nothing was done by Judge Garzon against thoses who were accused of inflicting torture.

Judge Garzon is also the Spanish fascist who ordered the closure of EGIN (NEWSPAPER) and EGIN IRRATIA (RADIO STATION). Therefore it´s been the first closure, since 1945, of a newspaper in Europe that calls herself democratic.

Judge Baltazar Garzon has been therefore a tool of the Spanish Government whose President boosted shamelessly saying that he´s Government had been the one who DARED TO CLOSE EGIN. Interior Minister Mayor Oreja acted as an unusual spokesperson of Judge Garzon and explained the closure.

Last friday 20th judge Baltazar Garzon made known an other of his fictional conceited judicial decreas. Again by doing so he acted as a fascist. Therefore, he gave an other political-repressive step against Basque independence cause. In a return to Franco´s dictatorship era he restored the tradition of the sinister Public Order Court. And for the first time in the postfranco Spanish pseudodemocracy he declared illegal a political organization (KAS) by way of a judicial decrea.

Again Minister and judge´s tandem worked. Baltazar Garzon and Mayor Oreja´s tandem. Interior Minister applauded the statement made by Garzon over the illegalization of KAS (socialist nationaltist coordinating organization). He proclaimed this prooves that "the State Rule of Law is not on a truce".

On saturday Herri Batasuna accused the tandem of "torpedoing any progress in the current political situation where eagerness and hope is shared by the inmense majority of this Country". HB added that progresses towards the democratical solution of the Spain/Basque Country conflict, such as the Agreement Lizarra-Garazi are seen with real dread by the main core Government of Madrid, that shooses, once again, to act according to the guidelines that historically were followed for Euskal Herria (Basque Country) with all its cruelty: repression and destruction.

Herri Batasuna dennouced the contradiction between fascist judge Baltasar Garzon´s decrea against KAS with his prosecution of the fascist Pinochet. It is, said HB, "a serious juridical and political irresponsability of those who say they´re acting against dictator Pinochet and then use his same methods. They pretend this way to create concentrations camps for the political dissidents of Euskal Herria. They do so by converting thousands of persons in criminal offenders. Closing comunication medias restricting freedom of speech to ridicolous limits. Proposing a way out for the Basque Country based on the hastening of the police-juridical measures against what they call the network of the MLNV (Basque National Liberation Movement)".

Despite those reservations it happens to be that the results are unbareble for the Spanish right wing that ABC represents. Here are some of these UNBAREBLE results:

• 75% of Spanish and 93% of the Basque of the BAR (Basque Autonomous Region) accept the negotiation following ETA´s truce.
  

• 76% of the Spaniards say that the Government should make some concessions to ETA. 8% say that ALL the demands of ETA shhould be met, 12% sais that A LOT should be conceded and 56% say that SOME should be met. Among the Basque people of the BAR those percentages increase to as high as 86%: ALL 4%, A LOT 20% and SOME OF THEM 62%.
  

• 58% of the Spaniards and 87% of the Basque of the BAR accept that ETA´s prisoners should be transferred to Basque jails.
  

• 60% of the Spaniards and 83% of the Basque of the BAR would be willing to reform the Constitution provided that Peace is reached once and for all.
  

• 65% Basques of the BAR are in favor of hte right to self- determination. Opposed to this only 36% of the Spaniards. The opponents´ total 58%.
  

All that information ARE IN DIRECT OPPSITIOIN TO THE GOVERNMENT´S POLICY. They certainly contradict the fascist judge Baltasar Garzon and likewise fascist Interior Minister Mayor Oreja.

But what is significantl is that the ABC newspaper, furious in face of this information, threatens the Basque Country with starting a Secession War like the one the United Satates of America used to crush any attempt of the southener States to achieve independence.

That is the problem.
